Features: The World Health Organization proposed that by 2000, everyone should enjoy health services, which also includes Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The unique and effective experience of TCM in preventing and treating diseases is highly popular among the public. With the deepening reform of the medical and health system, the situation requires healthcare to be oriented toward communities, providing health services to grassroots populations. This necessitates TCM practitioners to introduce profound TCM knowledge in simple terms, using plain language and straightforward explanations, to disseminate the knowledge of TCM in preventing and treating diseases to the masses, enhancing their awareness and ability for self-prevention and treatment, thereby improving the health quality of the entire nation. In light of this, under the guidance of the People's Medical Publishing House, we organized relevant units across the province to compile this book, gathering professionals who have long studied TCM academically and clinically, and are skilled and dedicated to popularizing scientific knowledge. In the writing process, we adhered to the spirit of addressing the general public and introducing TCM knowledge for preventing and treating diseases. The content is organized around diseases, focusing on causes, prevention, and regulation and treatment, presented in an accessible manner. It emphasizes practicality for home use, with a strong focus on disease prevention and self-care. Additionally, the writing process paid attention to incorporating modern new knowledge and achievements, with a particular emphasis on introducing easily graspable and household-applicable methods such as folk remedies, medicinal diet recipes, and Qigong massage for regulation and treatment.
