Features: The chaos of war is bloody and cruel, but also alluring, because it is the cradle of heroes. In the spiritual life of humans, heroes are an unshakable banner, guiding people forward. Looking at the history of China, the Three Kingdoms period stands out as alluring. Among the heroes of the Three Kingdoms, Zhou Yu is one of the most famous, but Luo Guanzhong, in order to highlight Zhuge Liang's exceptional virtue and extraordinary wisdom, portrayed Zhou Yu as narrow-minded and full of jealousy. In reality, the historical Zhou Yu was described as "magnanimous in character and generally well-liked," "brave and fierce, with extraordinary courage," "possessing the ability to make independent judgments and standing out among the crowd, truly an extraordinary talent." In other historical records of the Three Kingdoms, there is no mention of Zhou Yu being "narrow-minded." Sima Guang held Zhou Yu in high regard in his Zizhi Tongjian. The Battle of Red Cliffs, with Zhou Yu as the commander, is the starting point of this book. It aims to give the protagonist a different image from that depicted in folk tales, drawing on historical accounts and descriptions.
