Features: Perhaps, for every child who studies painting, becoming an artist is his ultimate dream. But now, on the path to realizing this dream, you must cross the threshold exam to get into an art college. Art colleges not only provide systematic training in your field but, more importantly, they offer a strong cultural and artistic atmosphere that subtly nurtures you, helping you truly develop the qualities and temperament of an artist. Painting requires talent, while exams require certain skills. In the complex and exhausting process of reviewing, works that capture the essence of the subject, have accurate structures, concise imagery, and appropriate selection and emphasis, are more likely to catch the examiner's eye and leave a lasting impression. Because this ability to synthesize holistically goes beyond overly focusing on and details, it represents a more advanced stage of painting. It better reflects your foundation and reveals a student's talent. The exam is not just a competition for painting skills but also a competition for talent. For this reason, we have widely consulted the opinions of those who were once just like you, struggling outside the walls of art colleges for the college entrance exam. We collected this batch of works, which include the preparatory pieces of outstanding candidates from all departments of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, except for the Department of Art History. These are also their strong points, providing a reference for study. We hope to lend a helping hand to candidates advancing on the path to art colleges.
