Features: This series is compiled by senior and advanced-level teachers from Beijing Four High School and Huanggang High School, guided by the newly issued teaching syllabi for senior high school subjects by the Ministry of Education, and based on the People's Education Press textbooks and the current senior high school curriculum (the new textbooks for the 2005 cohort). It is designed for the "3+X" comprehensive review preparation for the 2005 national college entrance examination.
Beijing Four High School is a key high school in Beijing, with a 100% college admission rate in the college entrance examination every year. Approximately 95% of its students meet the admission standards for national key universities, with about 40% enrolled in Tsinghua and Peking Universities. Huanggang High School is a provincial key high school in Hubei Province. Since the reform and opening-up, its college admission rate has been above 90% annually. Many of its students have won the titles of "provincial first prize" in both liberal arts and science subjects in the college entrance examination. Over 400 students have been recommended for further studies at renowned institutions such as Tsinghua, Peking, and Science University. Its students have consistently ranked first in Hubei Province in mathematics, physics, and chemistry competitions, with more than 2,700 students winning provincial and above academic awards, and over 900 winning national awards. They frequently take home gold medals in mathematics, physics, and chemistry olympiads.
This series adheres to the principle of "evaluating knowledge while emphasizing the assessment of abilities and qualities." It aims to help senior high school students integrate and master the knowledge of various subjects, focusing on systematically grasping the core content and internal connections of each subject, as well as mastering the methods of analyzing and solving academic problems. It also seeks to reflect the successful teaching and training experiences of Beijing Four High School and Huanggang High School. Additionally, it strives to balance the difficulty level of the questions to meet the requirements of senior high schools while aligning with the 2005 college entrance examination standards. In summary, this series aims to make the difficulty level of the questions suitable for the 2005 college entrance examination requirements.
The series is characterized by four key features: "new," "concise," "practical," and "comprehensive."
- New: It stays true to the direction of college entrance examination reforms, creating innovative content based on the textbooks.
- Concise: The content is concise and scientifically rigorous, delivering high-quality material.
- Practical: It is user-friendly and operationally convenient, selecting representative knowledge for in-depth analysis and explanation, making it highly practical.
- Comprehensive: It covers all key points and accurately addresses hot topics in the college entrance examination.
The structure of the book is as follows:
1. Each chapter is divided into several lessons in order.
2. Before each lesson in a chapter, there is an overview of the college entrance examination questions and their trends (except for the introduction and the first chapter). After each chapter (except the first), there are innovative and interdisciplinary questions.
3. Each lesson in a chapter includes the following four sections:
- Key Point Content Presentation: Comprising key point requirements and guidance.
- Key Point Example Analysis: Analyzing and explaining typical questions for each key point, primarily using innovative questions created by Huanggang High School. These questions are novel, scientific, and appropriately challenging. Solutions and comments are provided for some questions.
- Summary of Thinking Methods: Summarizing the problem-solving methods and precautions with regular patterns in this key point.
- Knowledge, Methods, and Ability Test: Primarily using innovative training questions created by Huanggang High School. 4. At the end of each book, there are two sets of mock college entrance examination questions for the subject and one set of mock comprehensive science questions.
