Features: To achieve the overall goal of textbook development, this book has the following characteristics:
1. It follows the laws of language, language teaching, and language learning. It widely incorporates achievements from research in linguistic studies, language teaching research, and language acquisition research.
2. It emphasizes both the structural patterns of language and its communicative functions while also incorporating related cultural content. It draws on the strengths of various teaching theories and methodologies.
3. It adheres to the conventional principles of textbook development: from easy to difficult, prioritizing urgent needs, gradual progress, and repetition. To this end, the following key measures were taken during the writing process:

- Balancing the content to meet learners' current study and future work needs, enhancing the encyclopedic knowledge and philosophical depth of the material.
- Emphasizing diversity in themes, genres, and stylistic forms.
- Establishing a multicultural and inclusive perspective, as well as the values of communication and understanding.
This series of textbooks is specifically designed for long-term Chinese language learners in China and can basically meet the teaching needs of listening, speaking, reading, and writing courses at beginner (including zero-level), intermediate, and advanced levels. The intermediate and advanced textbooks can also be used for teaching Chinese language majors at the undergraduate level.
