Features: Xie Haizhou, a renowned traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner from the Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, possesses extensive knowledge and clinical expertise. He has achieved remarkable therapeutic results and has deep insights into the study of Chinese herbal medicine and formulas. With noble medical ethics and a legacy of mentorship, he has nurtured countless students. This book aims to comprehensively and authentically reflect the clinical academic experiences of Elder Xie, providing enlightenment for future generations. The content is divided into three parts:
Biography of the Practitioner: A concise introduction to the life of Xie Haizhou, his upbringing in a TCM family, his tutelage under esteemed masters, his broad learning, his adaptation of ancient formulas, his flexible treatment approaches, his preference for innovative formulas, his exceptional medical skills, his tireless dedication to teaching, and his compassionate spirit as a great physician.
Treatment of Specific Diseases: The core content of the book, covering 64 typical diseases across internal, external, gynecological, and pediatric specialties. Each case is meticulously analyzed, highlighting both Elder Xie’s unique academic thoughts and the distinctive pharmacological features of the Xie family’s medicine.
After-Diagnosis Musings: Primarily introduces research findings on conditions such as cerebral palsy and arthralgia, the application experiences of "Xie’s Three Common Methods" (clearing heat and detoxification, promoting blood circulation and removing stasis, and reinforcing the body’s and nurturing the spleen), as well as "the art of Xie’s medication," the innovative use of ancient formulas, and the application of self-created formulas. If the "Treatment of Specific Diseases" is likened to the "principal and deputy" roles in formula study, then "After-Diagnosis Musings" and pharmacological research can be compared to the "auxiliary and envoy" roles. Together, they harmonize the principal, deputy, auxiliary, and envoy, thereby highlighting Elder Xie’s academic thoughts and achievements.
