Features: Environmental standards are the scales for evaluating the quality of environmental conditions and the effectiveness of enterprises' pollution control. They serve as the fundamental basis for environmental management and supervision by environmental protection authorities. China Environmental Science Press is the designated specialized publishing house for the State Environmental Protection Administration, responsible for publishing national and industry environmental standards. To ensure that various environmental protection departments and organizations implement environmental standards correctly and effectively in their work, the Science and Technology Standards Department of the State Environmental Protection Administration and China Environmental Science Press compiled and published the "Comprehensive Collection of Environmental Protection Standards in New China" in 2001. This collection includes all currently effective national environmental protection standards and industry environmental standards in China from 1978 to the end of 2000, excluding standards for standard samples. In 2003, they compiled and published the "Comprehensive Collection of Chinese Environmental Protection Standards," which includes all national environmental protection standards and industry environmental standards issued in the two years of 2001 and 2002. It is currently the newest, most comprehensive, and most authoritative collection of environmental protection standards.
