Features: Redwood furniture, as a treasure of traditional Chinese culture, reached its peak during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It combines practicality, artistry, and value preservation, becoming a collectible for nobles and wealthy merchants. Today, modern redwood furniture produced with advanced technology and tailored to practical needs is even more favored by the general public. Like redwood furniture, solid wood flooring has, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards after the reform and opening-up, become a symbol of lifestyle, quality, and cultural refinement. Regarding national standards for redwood and the characteristics, identification, and construction of redwood furniture, the author has previously introduced them in the book "Chinese Redwood," which has been reprinted several times with a total print run of nearly 20,000 copies, still failing to meet demand. Meanwhile, although some books on solid wood flooring are available in the market, they seem insufficient in explaining wood species/types, the stability of dry wood dimensions, and drying benchmarks. In light of this, the author has written this book, combining redwood furniture and solid wood flooring. The book focuses on the inevitable moisture absorption and expansion, as well as moisture release and drying, of solid wood during use, emphasizing the stability of dry wood dimensions to draw attention to this issue.
