Features: Higher vocational education can be considered a new phenomenon in our country. Although major theoretical and practical issues such as talent cultivation standards, goals, models, and implementation pathways are yet to be explored and practiced, there is a broad consensus that higher vocational education must no longer be a "compressed version" of undergraduate education. Instead, it must adhere to the principle of job-oriented education, where theoretical knowledge should be "essential and sufficient," with a focus on the application of knowledge, particularly the cultivation of practical hands-on skills. To achieve this goal, there are many efforts and contradictions that need to be addressed, such as the formulation of talent cultivation plans, the transformation and renewal of educational and teaching concepts, the design and construction of practical training facilities, textbook development, and the cultivation of teaching staff. All of these require significant effort to resolve, with textbook development being particularly urgent. It is precisely for these reasons that we have prioritized the development of textbooks suitable for higher vocational finance and business education, which are targeted, practical, and distinctive, as a foundational and strategic task in the reform of our school's educational and teaching work.
