Features: Ding Yangming's novelistic language possesses strong visual and emotional impact. The talent that he exudes, the perceptive insights, and the soaring imagination often give us a sense of being startled. The tension contained in Ding Yangming's calm and quiet words is enough to leave one breathless. Ding Yangming has already maturely acquired a keen artistic sense, a rich and profound personal imaginative space, and philosophical reflections on the essence of humanity. This is both admirable and awe-inspiring. A Snake Entangled with Me is a long by Ding Yangming. In his own words, it is a gift for his 20th birthday and his contemporaries. The novel unfolds its narrative through a story-within-a-story structure, transforming a mysterious affair and murder into a solitary joke about the world. We can also view this novel as a record of growth, a field study of a teenager's coming-of-age.
