Features: Introduction: This book selects and compiles 40 cases, all focused on maritime cargo. It is divided into two parts based on different modes of maritime transport: public transport under bills of lading and private transport under charter contracts. The selected cases are classic cases made by courts in countries. Due to historical reasons, maritime cargo law in countries has always been at the forefront. The United Kingdom has always been a major player in international maritime transport, primarily representing the interests of shipowners. Although U.S. maritime law originates from British maritime law, it primarily represents the interests of cargo owners. Therefore, in many important issues of maritime cargo transport, there are different regulations between British and U.S. laws. The cases compiled in this book basically retain their "original appearance," but in terms of organization, they follow the system commonly used by us, grouping all cases related to the same issue into one chapter and adding brief explanations. These explanations are not part of the original cases but are added by the compilers to facilitate readers' understanding.
