Features: Basic education, which includes education before entering university. In the sense of modern education, the world's earliest institutions were universities, such as the University of Bologna founded in the 12th century, while basic education gradually developed only after the 16th-century Reformation. Although Germany proposed the slogan of universal primary education in the 18th century, it was not until the 19th century that the task of implementing universal basic education was truly put forward. Developed countries in the early 20th century and have since implemented nine-year compulsory education since the 1950s. To many people, basic education is simply teaching students to read and write, and the students' task is to study; in many development indicators, especially in the composition of indicators reflecting national strength, only "literacy rate" is listed, along with how many characters a student reads in which grade. In past modernization indicators, basic education only emphasized the scale of tailcoat issuance. Clearly, the rise of high technology has given us a new understanding of basic education, and the educational reforms of the 21st century have infused it with a fresh spirit of contemporary education.
