Philosophy of the I Ching Lecture Series

Author: Mou Zongsan
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-07-01
Features: This book is a record of the lectures given by Professor Mou Zongsan at the New Asia Institute in Hong Kong on the "I Ching." It is divided into two parts: The first part covers the "I Ching," consisting of twenty-one lectures delivered in 1992. The second part covers the "Book of Changes Commentary," comprising nine lectures delivered in 1973. The entire book has not been reviewed by Professor Mou himself and was revised by Yang Zuhàn and Wang Caigui. Due to incomplete preservation of the audio tapes, the second part of the book does not present a complete record of the course. However, since Professor Mou did not write any other dedicated books on the "I Ching" except for his early work "A Study of Chinese Metaphysics and Moral Philosophy from the Perspective of the I Ching" (later renamed "The Natural Philosophy and Moral Connotations of the I Ching"), this book holds great value for understanding Professor Mou's thought on the "I Ching."
