1. Texts — The content of the texts focuses on topics such as foreigners living, working, and traveling in China, aiming to be practical and engaging for learners. All texts are in situational dialogues, with each unit specifying the situation, characters, and location. The book is divided into ten units, with a review section arranged once per unit.
2. Vocabulary — Most words are annotated with parts of speech, while some individual terms and idioms are not.
3. Notes — The notes cover only certain linguistic phenomena in the texts and expand and summarize them based on A Panoramic View of China – Beginning Chinese. The explanations avoid grammatical terminology, relying primarily on example imitation to help learners understand and master more complex sentence structures and grammatical content.
4. Exercises — Emphasizing comprehension and imitation, a large number of exercises are provided to reinforce the content learned in each unit.
