Features: Actually, I don’t want to overpraise the grass and trees around me, because I’ve always believed that my homeland carries more hardship and weariness. Those corners, midpoints, poverty, and sorrows are everywhere on my homeland. I only hope that through my brushwork, I can find some profound poetry, to examine my emotions, to deepen my love, and to make my gaze more moving. At the same time, I also hope that through these not-so-lightweight words, people who are close to me and my words can understand the poetic world I rely on. Now, I think back, how difficult it is to cherish or understand one’s homeland, yet how happy it is at the same time. During my days living in the northwest of Yunnan, I discovered so many vibrant things. When my gaze and brushwork accidentally turned to that homeland surrounded and nurtured by countless mountains and waters, I found a meaning beyond my expectations.
