Features: The purpose of compiling this selection is to provide literary enthusiasts with a new anthology of poetry from the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties periods. This anthology is neither too large nor too small, aiming to include the representative works of renowned writers from this era to give readers a general understanding of the poetic landscape of the time. It also helps readers understand the historical significance of poetry from the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties periods and its preparatory role for the prosperity of Tang Dynasty poetry. For the sake of accessibility, some overly difficult poems and works with unhealthy ideological tendencies have been excluded. Additionally, to facilitate comprehension, we have provided concise annotations and comments. In terms of annotations, we have considered the needs of readers and generally avoided citing the original words of predecessors to ensure clarity. In terms of comments, we have referred to the opinions of many predecessors.
