Features: Zhou Zuoren (1885-1967), also known as Zhichang, was a native of Shaoxing, Zhejiang, and a modern important prose writer and cultural scholar. Zhichang's Book Talk collects and compiles over thirty of Zhou's collected works, along with his writings outside of these collections and published articles, into separate volumes, published in two parts (upper and lower). Zhichang's Prefaces and Postfaces covers the same scope as Zhichang's Book Talk, organized into three sections: self-authored prefaces and postfaces, prefaces and postfaces written for others, and inscriptions and notes on reading. These three volumes form an integral whole. The 1986 edition by Yue Lu Book Society consisted of two volumes of Book Talk and one volume of Prefaces and Postfaces. In 1997, Hainan Publishing House combined them into two thick volumes. This time, they are still published in three volumes because they include writings outside of the collections and unpublished manuscripts, significantly expanding the content compared to the 1986 edition.
