Features: This book is the current textbook for electrical engineering courses for non-electrical engineering students at Ohio State University in the United States. To adapt to the rapid development of electronic technology, computer technology, and network technology, the author has made significant revisions to the content based on the previous three editions, through teaching reform and practice. In particular, functional boxes such as "Learning Objectives," "Self-Assessment Questions," "Method Summary," "Measurement Methods," and "Online Resources" have been added to maximize students' initiative and interest in learning. This book introduces the principles and applications of electrical engineering from the perspective of mechatronics. The entire book is divided into three parts: Circuit Theory, Electronics, and Principles of Electrical Machines. The Circuit Theory section includes: Basic Circuit Theory, Resistive Circuit Analysis, AC Circuit Analysis, Transient Analysis, Frequency Response, and AC Power Sources. The Electronics section includes: Operational Amplifiers, Semiconductors and Diodes, Semiconductor Transistors, Field Effect Transistors, Power Electronics, Digital Logic Circuits, Digital Systems, and Electronic Instruments and Measurements. The Principles of Electrical Machines section includes: Principles of Mechatronics, Principles of Electrical Machines, and Special Motors. This book can be used as a teaching reference for non-electrical engineering majors in higher education institutions for the "Electrical Engineering" course and as a bilingual teaching textbook. It can also serve as a reference for engineering technicians engaged in mechatronics.
