Features: The series of cultural relic and museum textbooks organized and compiled by the National Cultural Relic Administration, including China Archaeology, Basic Principles of Chinese Museum Studies, Chinese Ceramics, Chinese Bronzes, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, and Ancient Chinese Architecture, have been published continuously by Shanghai Publishing House since 1990. They have received strong responses from the cultural relic and museum communities, as well as from various sectors of society and overseas peers, and have been praised by professional museum personnel and amateur enthusiasts. The series has been reprinted multiple times at the request of readers. In the past decade, China's cultural relic and museum industry has made significant progress, with continuous new discoveries and achievements emerging in various fields. To promptly reflect the new developments in the industry and make the series more complete and better meet the needs of readers, the National Cultural Relic Administration has organized the original compilers to revise the textbooks. In this revision, in addition to supplementing new research findings and content, corrections have also been made to errors in the original texts (the part on the Shenyang culture in China Archaeology has not been revised due to reasons beyond the compiler's control). Color illustrations have been added to the overall series. At the same time, Chinese Ancient Coins has been published for the first time.
