Features: This collection of excellent essays is essentially the fruit of extensive reading and writing by students from top schools. A quick glance reveals that every volume is a treasure trove, offering peers valuable material for appreciation, reference, and imitation. These outstanding essays come from both in-class and extracurricular activities. The reason they stand out is that the authors have developed unique and distinctive personalities through their practice of reading widely and writing frequently. Exploring the distinctive reading and writing traits demonstrated by these students can provide profound insights into writing well.
The first insight is that authenticity must be sought through reading and expressed with genuine emotion. The second is to observe carefully and excel at distilling ideas. The third is to learn from others' language while developing one's own. This collection offers readers many insights, much like a comprehensive mine of thoughts, knowledge, life experiences, thinking, and language. It is the labor and wisdom of fellow students, carefully selected and edited by teachers, and provided for all students to reference and learn from when writing essays. It is also like organizing intimate discussions among peers to exchange ideas on essay content and writing experiences. In this way, this collection creates conditions for students to mine and acquire knowledge together, achieving twice the result with half the effort in improving their writing skills.
This collection selects winning essays from national, provincial, and municipal competitions, as well as full-mark essays from college entrance exams, high school entrance exams, school exams, or special training sessions, from nearly a decade of essays by members of the National Middle School Research Union. It also includes outstanding essays from renowned primary schools in recent years, representing the essence of these schools' excellent writing over the past decade and offering high readability. In the future, we will continue to compile other series of books in the "Young Writers Library" to provide more and better references for Chinese language learning in primary and secondary schools.
During the compilation process, this series received enthusiastic help and guidance from experts and scholars at the China Educational Society, the Chinese Language Teaching Research Association, and the People's Education Press. It also benefited greatly from the strong support and assistance of leaders, division heads, and relevant schools of the "Research Union." Leaders and editors from Jilin Education Press and China Youth Press also contributed labor to the publication of this series.
