Features: Bringing avant-garde poetry into broader reading and acceptance territories has always been our aspiration. Given this, the current public and fashionable reading are something we cannot abandon. As a specific discourse expression in relatively free and diverse eras, avant-garde poetry ensures that the artistic essence and its innovative, experimental spirit, as well as contemplative nature, do not lose their voice in this time. The Archives of Chinese Avant-Garde Poetry selects important and representative poets from various periods since the Misty Poetry movement. The book is divided into three parts: Poets, Critics, and Independent Publication Background. The Poets section includes poet photos, biographies, poetic doctrines, and reviews, while the Critics section contains photos and biographies, fully reflecting the book's artistic quality, historical significance, and objectivity. It is an authoritative and unique "version of Chinese poetry." This book was transformed from a television program. The television show focused on poetry, specifically avant-garde poetry, which itself was a pioneering effort. When it was adapted into text, it extensively used the "archives" approach, as it is now the time to give "avant-garde" a final verdict. The poet's photos and resumes, the cover of the poetry collection, the poet's creative views, and others' reviews—all the design is quite grand. The book includes the representative works of 33 poets, though most of these so-called avant-garde poets are already accomplished middle-aged figures. At the very least, this book leaves us a glimpse of the avant-garde in our era. Chinese avant-garde poetry, through the Misty Poetry movement, post-Misty Poetry (or the so-called Third Generation), and personal writing in the 1990s, evolved from explorers of contemporary literature to contributors to classic texts. This book collects the poetry, personal archives, and short reviews of over 30 avant-garde poets, including Bei Dao, Mang Ke, Duo Duo, Shu Ting, Gu Cheng, Hai Zi, Xi Chuan, etc., bringing avant-garde poetry into broader reading and acceptance territories.
