Features: The publication of this set of motivational stories was driven by the urgent demand from numerous readers for children's motivational books, coinciding with the heightened emphasis on moral education for minors by both the government and the education sector in China. Facts tell us that a sharp mind and excellent academic performance do not equate to success and happiness. On the contrary, moral and ethical qualities, ways of handling interpersonal relationships, and personal characteristics often determine a person's lifelong development direction and ultimate outcome. This series of books explores aspects such as the courage to explore the unknown, friendship, responsibility, self-confidence, perseverance, and optimism, conveying important life lessons to children through vivid fairy tales. To help children apply what they have learned to their daily lives, we have designed pre-reading and post-reading discussion questions and activity plans. We are committed to working together with parents and teachers to assist children during their critical developmental stages in forming correct values and positive personal qualities.
As self-awareness grows, children may gradually realize that they are somewhat less naturally gifted in certain areas compared to others, such as being short in stature, having dark skin, curly hair, being timid, or having a stutter, among other things. At this stage, they are prone to feelings of inferiority. If these feelings are not addressed promptly, children may become withdrawn, lose confidence, and even develop self-hatred. How can we help children stand tall despite their perceived "weaknesses"? First, parents should tell their children that these are not weaknesses but simply differences from others. At the same time, they should help children recognize the positive aspects of these traits, enabling them to believe in themselves and appreciate their unique qualities. Additionally, children should be taught how to respond to ridicule from others with composure and dignity. Most importantly, encouragement—encouragement, and more encouragement!
