Features: To depict flowers, use the central brushstroke, paying attention to the combination of ink and brushwork with the image. Observe and appreciate the differences between flowers, leaves, stems, and stalks. The turns and pauses of the brushwork, as well as the thickness and length of the lines, should be closely tied to the nature and characteristics of the content, varying accordingly. For example, some flowers appear very delicate, with leaves of varying thicknesses, requiring differentiated treatment. The brushwork should reflect distinctions in rigidity and fineness. When outlining delicate petals, it is best to use finer lines, which better convey their softness and thinness. Common flower and tree leaves are generally thicker and harder than petals, so the brushwork for leaves should be slightly thicker. The brushwork for herbaceous flowers and woody plants should also differ. Typically, herbaceous plants are depicted with upright strokes, woody plants with vigorous strokes, and vines with flexible and resilient strokes.
