Features: This book introduces the basic concepts, working principles, control methods, and applications of intelligent control. The book consists of 10 chapters. Chapter 1 provides an overview of the human cognitive process, various cognitive views, and the background, origins, and development of artificial intelligence and intelligent control. It discusses the definitions of artificial intelligence and intelligent control, as well as the characteristics and structure of intelligent control, particularly the theory of the four-dimensional intersection structure of intelligent control. Chapters 2 and 3 summarize traditional artificial intelligence's knowledge representation methods and search reasoning techniques. Chapters 4 to 8 discuss the working mechanisms, types, structures, design methods, control characteristics, and application examples of hierarchical control systems, expert control systems, fuzzy control systems, neural control systems, and learning control systems, respectively. Chapter 9 briefly introduces other types of intelligent control systems, including anthropomorphic control, evolutionary control, and immune control. Chapter 10 comprehensively covers the research fields and existing problems in intelligent control applications, as well as prospects for the future development of intelligent control and its relationship with related technologies. This book can serve as a textbook for senior undergraduate and graduate students majoring in automation, mechatronics engineering, and other electronic information-related fields in higher education institutions. It can also be used as a reference for scientists and engineers engaged in the research, design, and application of intelligent control and intelligent systems.
