Features: The purpose of compiling this collection of piano pieces is to give readers an impression of the main forms of Baroque keyboard music from England, Italy, France, and Germany. It cannot cover the entire Baroque period or the different styles of various countries; instead, its aim is to provide a rich selection of various genres and showcase the typical styles of musical composition from the countries involved. The "Baroque period," as commonly referred to, refers to the 150 years between 1600 and the year of Johann Sebastian Bach's death in 1750.
