Publish Date: 2002-04-01
Features: This book introduces the clinical experience and academic expertise of the renowned TCM ophthalmologist Mr. Wei Wengui (1902-1980) and the chief physician Ms. Wei Yuying (1925-). The Weis' ophthalmology tradition dates back generations, with both father and daughter having over eight decades of clinical experience, accumulating rich expertise in treating various eye conditions. Due to space constraints, similar patterns of differentiation and medication styles for some eye diseases are omitted by either generation to avoid repetition. However, for select specialized or complex eye conditions with significant academic value, their unique insights and theoretical innovations are elaborated in detail, with extensive case studies to ensure no detail is overlooked. The content following the "Special Disease Treatments" section in the second part of the book summarizes and reflects on the long-term clinical practices and distinctive treatments of the two generations from the perspective of their graduate students or academic inheritors. Additionally, experience-prescribed formulas and commonly used formulas of the Weis' two generations are included for easy reference. The author has strived to present facts objectively, avoiding pretense, unnecessary complexity, or embellishment. However, due to limitations in the author's ability, there may be omissions or imperfections, and the author humbly requests corrections from fellow practitioners.
