Features: Sanmao: A famous Taiwanese writer, born on March 26, 1943, in Chongqing, Dinghai County, Zhejiang Province. Her given name was Chen Huiping, and she changed it to Chen Ping in 1946, adopting the pen name "Sanmao." In 1964, she entered the Department of Philosophy at Cultural University but dropped out later. She studied in Europe, settled in the Spanish Sahara's Canary Islands after marriage, and wrote a series of heartfelt works based on local life. In 1981, she returned to Taiwan, taught at Cultural University, and resigned from her teaching position in 1984 to focus on writing and public speaking. She passed away on January 4, 1991, at the age of 48. Sanmao traveled to many parts of the world, and her life's works and translations are extensive. Her essays, novels, and plays, such as The Story of the Sahara, The Rainy Season Will Not Return, The Camel That Cried, My Treasure, The School of Chaos, and Rolling Red Dust, are widely read and beloved, spreading throughout the global Chinese community. They were particularly popular in mainland China, influencing an entire generation.
