Features: In 2001, based on research and investigation, the National Center for Housing and Human Settlements Engineering compiled and released the "Key Technical Points for Healthy Housing Construction" (2001 Edition) and launched pilot projects for healthy housing construction as a carrier for residential communities to test and transform research results on healthy housing. These actions garnered deep attention and high support from all sectors of society. Subsequently, in its second edition, it explored the construction philosophy, performance indicators, and supporting technologies of healthy housing, revised the "Key Technical Points for Healthy Housing Construction" (2002 Revised Edition), and enhanced its guiding significance. In 2003, the sudden emergence of the SARS pandemic drew widespread attention to healthy housing, even leading to some calling it a "" (speculation). We believe that the pace of research on healthy housing should be accelerated, and healthy housing construction should be actively carried out with a scientific attitude to guide its correct and comprehensive development. On the other hand, the practices of the past three years, as well as the completion and final acceptance of the first pilot project—Beijing Olympic Garden (Phase I)—have provided us with rich experience. With the participation of over 40 experts, after more than six months of effort and broader solicitation of opinions, we have finally completed the revision of the "Key Technical Points for Healthy Housing Construction" (2004 Edition).
