Readers can not only find new technical terms in various basic and applied disciplines such as nanotechnology, genetic technology, and information technology but also gain related knowledge and its accurate English expressions. Second, it is highly targeted. The authors of this dictionary combine their teaching experience in university-level science and technology English with the writing of science and technology dictionaries. The book aims to address language difficulties in English scientific and technical papers and works. It includes a large number of authentic materials selected from English and American original works, which can not only be used for reference but also help readers develop a smooth sense of language and coherent thinking when using vocabulary, thereby cultivating the ability to generalize and apply knowledge to different contexts. The National Defense Industry Press has organized the publication of this large-scale dictionary, which has done a very important foundational work for China's science and technology community. I believe that the publication of this dictionary will certainly be welcomed and cherished by and translators. I hope that and the authors will work together to identify issues and shortcomings and make timely revisions to continuously improve it.
