Features: The content of this "series" is temporarily planned for two major systems. First, over the past 20 years, while inviting and accepting scholars from all over the world to lecture at our institute, the professors of the Institute of Comparative Literature and Comparative Culture at Peking University have also given many lectures and presentations in many countries around the world. They have used the languages of the host countries to elaborate on their research insights, bridging the connection between Chinese comparative literature academia and the international community, and showcasing the academic achievements and humanistic spirit of Chinese and Peking University scholars. The series will be edited into "Overseas Lectures and Presentations," still published in the original "host country" language of the lectures and presentations, to preserve the "authentic voice" of their academic expressions around the world. The English, French, and Japanese editions will be published first, and more volumes will be released in the future. Second, the specialized works of this academic group in the context of multiculturalism have academic significance. Currently, there has been no substantial elaboration on the various literary and cultural levels within the field of comparative literature in China. The Institute is committed to advancing original thinking that integrates textual evidence with theoretical elaboration across multiple cultural levels. In the fields of literary historiography, iconology, comparative poetics, hermeneutics, and cultural studies, exploratory efforts have been made, resulting in research papers on these specific topics.
