Features: Wang Liqiu, originally from Shandong, was born in 1962. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Shandong University of Technology in 1982 and 1985, respectively, and his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta in Canada in 1994. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. His main research areas include micro/nanoscale transport phenomena, multi-scale transport phenomena, numerical computation of linear transport phenomena, stability and bifurcation of transport phenomena. He has published over 100 papers and authored 4 books. This solutions manual is a reference book designed to accompany the textbook Engineering Numerical Analysis. The book is divided into two parts: the first part is exercises, and the second part is solutions. For easy reference, five appendices are included at the end of the book, featuring a general computational program for nonlinear algebraic continuation methods, famous integral formulas, numerical calculus formulas, etc. This solutions manual enriches, deepens, and enhances the original textbook. The topics range from basic to advanced, combining classical and modern subjects, as well as the author's new research findings. The book is characterized by concise language, multiple solutions per problem, high technicality, broad scope, and strong comprehensiveness. It covers the fundamental content of numerical analysis, integrating traditional university-level mathematics, making it accessible to readers with knowledge of higher mathematics, linear algebra, and differential equations.
