Features: English Contract Law is a case law system. The over 100 cases included in this book are authoritative and binding cases in English Contract Law to this day, including cases related to the latest developments in the legal system. The content covers all major areas of contract law. The arrangement of this book follows the writing method of British textbooks, facilitating readers' deeper understanding of the structural framework of the British contract law system. The cases selected in this book are chosen from reliable case reports, and the judgments are the original words of the judges. Although some edits have been made, the judges' reasoning and the overall structure of the judgments have been basically preserved. After each selected case, there are suggestions and discussions, which not only summarize the theories involved in the case but also focus on helping readers clarify the reasoning of the judgments. What we aim to achieve in this book is not to comprehensively introduce all the rules of English Contract Law, as the rules are endless and it is unrealistic to cover them all. Many great scholars in common law jurisdictions have written multi-volume books to introduce contract law, but all claim to only scratch the surface. What we hope is that through reading this book, readers can understand the methods British judges use to analyze and solve problems, laying a foundation for further study of British law.
