From a higher perspective, understand success and enlightenment, and learn to let go. Transform success into a profound yet ordinary process, act naturally, and continuously achieve success. While experiencing the continuous attainment of success, filled with joy and happiness, let go of the burdensome and negative things, and do the subtraction of life. Only in this way can one possibly achieve great freedom, great fulfillment, and great self-liberation in life.
Thirteen years ago, the 11th Asian Games were held in Beijing. The day before the opening ceremony of the "Asian Games," I cycled "through China" to reach Beijing. With the help of Mr. Dong Zonggui from China International Travel Service, I contacted the organizing committee of the "Asian Games," and they asked me to go to the "Asian Games Village" immediately. In the "Asian Games Village," Director Zhang Heng, the head of the general duty office of the organizing committee, warmly received me. After listening to my account of completing the "cycling through China" journey in 49 days, he readily took out a pen and wrote 14 words on my sports jersey: "You've arrived. Beijing welcomes you. The Asian Games welcome you." When I saw these words, tears welled up in my eyes like a tide. Director Zhang Heng also gave me the last remaining "Asian Games" opening ceremony ticket, which had been saved for foreign guests. I never expected to receive such a high honor. The next day, on September 22, 1990, I watched the grand opening ceremony of the 11th Asian Games with over 80,000 Chinese and foreign spectators. From the stands, at that moment, in that scene, it felt as if everything was arranged for me, prepared for me, and celebrated for me.
Thirteen years have passed. Over these years, I have ventured into Hainan, traveled to Shandong, and been to Shanghai. I have worked as a journalist, editor, planner, and advertising professional, and have served as a producer and CEO of a joint venture company. During this time, whenever I faced difficulties, setbacks, or failures, I would think back to the cycling journey through China, drawing from it a tremendous motivation and inspiration to overcome everything and work steadfastly toward my goals.
Today, I have written down my experience of cycling through China. I hope that this can serve as encouragement and inspiration for those who want to succeed, desire success, and pursue success. Here, on the occasion of the publication of this book, I want to thank my parents, wife, and family; those who have served in the process of writing this book; and everyone who has ever cared about me.
