Features: This book has a clear structure and clear objectives, breaking the excessive reliance on "test tips" and the resulting anxiety among students. Starting from practice, it extracts key points from teaching practice and turns them into carefully designed exercises. This helps students eliminate the dilemma of relying on "test tips" in the IELTS Speaking exam, confidently navigate the ongoing "topic changes," transform speaking practice into ability, and conquer the IELTS Speaking exam. In terms of writing, the book adopts two approaches: it considers the structure of Parts 1-3 of the exam while also organizing practice sessions in a step-by-step, rhythmical manner over 80 days of intensive preparation.
From Day 1 to Day 20, the focus is on getting students into the mindset of the oral exam. The book compiles various topics that have appeared in recent IELTS Speaking exams. It first provides an Imitations Passage for students to read and shadow, primarily to refine their pronunciation and familiarize themselves with language related to the topics. Next, students will find 6-8 questions, most of which are actual test questions from recent IELTS Speaking exams. The biggest feature of the book is that it offers multiple perspectives and several answers for each question for reference.
From Day 21 to Day 60, the focus shifts to addressing what students should say in Part II. Some students may have a solid foundation in grammar and pronunciation but feel overwhelmed when presented with a Cue Card, unsure where to begin. Others may have ideas but struggle with vocabulary limitations in expressing them.
From Day 61 to Day 80, the emphasis is on analyzing the key points of different test questions, with a strong foundation in drills to expand students' thinking and broaden their horizons. This helps maintain the positive results of Part II and further excel in Part III.
