Features: This book is divided into two parts: Basic Theory and Clinical Application, with equal emphasis on fundamental theories and clinical applications. An English-Chinese glossary of CT technology terms is included at the end. The Basic Theory part focuses on explaining the fundamental principles of CT, related terminology, and the principles of important hardware. It covers the history of CT invention and development, the basics of computers and digital imaging, the fundamental structure of CT machines, the characteristics of different generations of CT machines, advancements in modern CT technology (including the principles of 16-slice CT scanning and imaging), volume scanning, major technical performance indicators of CT machines, the principles of CT imaging, methods of CT image reconstruction, the basic principles of 3D CT image reconstruction, CT image quality, and methods for CT scan quality control. The content of the Basic Theory part comprehensively covers the current field of CT knowledge, offering both depth and breadth. Difficult concepts and complex theories are explained in simple and accessible language to facilitate understanding. The Clinical Application part is roughly equal in length to the Basic Theory part and includes fundamental knowledge of CT scanning, routine CT scanning techniques for various body parts, single-slice and multi-slice helical scanning techniques, the principles and clinical applications of 3D imaging methods, and the basics of CT image reading and analysis. The Clinical Application part emphasizes practicality, covering common and uncommon scanning sites in routine CT examinations, supplemented with appropriate illustrations, standard anatomical line diagrams, and photos, making the book more practical. 3D CT image reconstruction has developed rapidly in recent years, and this book dedicates a chapter to comprehensively discussing its clinical applications, focusing on image processing methods, clinical application examples, and the value of clinical applications. Quality control is introduced from a methodological perspective, making it easier for readers to grasp and providing reference value. The latter part of the Clinical Application section offers key diagnostic points for common diseases, aiming to lay a foundation for better implementation of CT examinations, adapt to the needs of development, and provide valuable learning resources for experienced technicians to improve their professional skills. In addition to serving as a reference for clinical practice, this book is also suitable as a teaching material for various educational institutions.
