Features: Preface Currently, satellite navigation and positioning are widely used in various fields such as economy, military, scientific research, and social life, demonstrating their superiority. The Global Positioning System (GPS) established by the United States is a major representative of satellite navigation and positioning systems, along with Russia's GLONASS, China's "Beidou 1," and Europe's GALILEO. GPS offers global, all-weather, continuous real-time three-dimensional positioning, velocity measurement, and timing capabilities. It not only provides real-time navigation and positioning for various moving platforms such as vehicles, ships, and spacecraft, and guidance for various indirect fire weapon systems, but also can be applied in high-precision positioning and high-precision time transfer. This book is based on Professor Zhang Shouxin's "Theories and Applications of GPS Satellite Measurement and Positioning" and is jointly compiled by the Equipment Command and Technology College, the General Equipment Department's Measurement and Communication General Research Institute, and the former Ministry of Electronics Industry 22nd Research Institute, in accordance with the current development and application of GPS technology, especially in aerospace measurement and control. The book consists of 10 chapters, with Chapters 1 to 8 written by Zhang Shouxin, Xu Dongmei, Xie Haizhong, Li Zhi, and Ren Yufei, and Chapters 9 and 10 written by Huang Xuade, Liu Zhonggui, Zhang Bo, Sun Chuan'e, Liu Yanli, Li Wei, Zhang Libin, and Wu Jian. The book is reviewed by Researcher Zhang Jisheng. During the compilation process, this book received strong support from the General Staff Department of the General Equipment Department, the Equipment Command and Technology College, the General Equipment Department's Measurement and Communication General Research Institute, and the former Ministry of Electronics Industry 22nd Research Institute, for which we express our sincere gratitude. This book strives to combine theory with practice and reflects the latest technologies and applications, but due to the authors' limited expertise, there may be shortcomings and errors in the book. We welcome readers' criticism and corrections.

Preface Missile and aerospace measurement and control systems are important components of missile test engineering and aerospace engineering in national defense scientific research and experimental engineering. Over the past 40 years, China's missile and aerospace measurement and control personnel have adhered to the guiding principle of self-reliance, maintained rigor and pragmatism, and worked together to build a well-planned, comprehensive, and widely covered missile and aerospace measurement and control network. They have undertaken and completed a series of missile, launch vehicle launch tests, and satellite tracking, measurement, and control tasks, making significant contributions to the development of China's missile and aerospace industry. In the construction, development, and management of the missile and aerospace measurement and control network, several generations of scientific and technological personnel have devoted their lives and wisdom, exerted hard work, established or created theories adapted to China's missile and aerospace measurement and control practices, accumulated rich practical experience, and achieved fruitful results. To cultivate and train new generations of aerospace measurement and control talent, and to continuously consolidate and develop China's missile and aerospace measurement and control industry, it is of great practical significance and profound historical significance to systematically organize and summarize the theoretical and practical achievements of the system over the past 40 years and compile a series of textbooks that meet the needs of talent cultivation and provide guidance and technical support for experimental work.
This series of textbooks is primarily aimed at missile and aerospace measurement and control engineering technicians with college or above education levels, as well as technical and program coordination management personnel. The content focuses on the theories, system composition, principles, operational procedures, technical implementation plans, methods, and development trends of measurement and control systems, with an emphasis on the theoretical foundations, experience summaries, and overall work and analysis approaches of measurement and control systems. It can serve as a guide for practical work, as well as a reference for students and teachers in relevant fields of study and for the development of measurement and control equipment.
This series of textbooks consists of 14 volumes, including: "Overall Missile and Aerospace Measurement and Control" (Volume 1 and 2), "Radio Tracking and Measurement," "Radio Telemetry and Remote Control" (Volume 1 and 2), "Optical and Electronic Measurement," "Aerospace Object Orbit Determination," "Aerospace Flight Control and Simulation," "Aerospace Measurement Ship," "Measurement and Control Computers and Monitoring Display Systems," "GPS Technology and Applications," "Electromagnetic Compatibility Technology," "Ballistic Data Processing," "Telemetry Data Processing," "Test Command and Automation Systems," and "Range Geodesy."
During the compilation process, this series of textbooks received strong support and assistance from relevant units, including the armed forces, universities, and equipment research and production units. The elderly experts, such as Academician Chen Fangyun and Cheng Kaijia, provided many valuable constructive suggestions for the compilation work, for which we express our heartfelt gratitude. Due to the broad professional scope and extensive content of this series of textbooks, and the limited expertise of the compilers, there may be errors or omissions in the book. We sincerely invite readers to point them out.
