This book includes over 150 of his poems. The collection Dunhuang Zilixi contains seven Dunhuang manuscript copies from Paris, London, and the Pelliot collection, including Wei Zong's Qinfu Yinyan, Yunyao Jiacu (30 poems), Jibu Ge, Focu (three pieces), Licu (three pieces), Xiaocu (three pieces), and one volume of Soushenji. Professor Chen Yinque once annotated the Qinfu Yinyan and Yunyao Jiacu. In 1936, he published Reading Qinfu Yinyan (Tsinghua Journal, Vol. 11, No. 4). In 1940, he further revised and published Annotations on Wei Zong's Qinfu Yinyan (Self-published in Kunming, titled Annotations on Qinfu Yinyan). In 1950, he wrote Supplementary Corrections to the Old Draft of Annotations on Qinfu Yinyan (Lingnan Journal, Vol. 12, No. 2). These were later compiled under the title Annotations on Wei Zong's Qinfu Yinyan and included in this book. In his research on the history of the Sui and Tang dynasties, Professor Chen Yinque extensively collected materials from Tang Dynasty notes, novels, and poetry. His works such as Annotations and Proofs of Yuan Bai's Poetry, On Regeneration in Love, and Biography of Liu Shi can be seen as his three representative works that uniquely explore and analyze history using literary and poetic materials.
