Features: Implementing the Environmental Labeling Scheme is a crucial means in a market economy to guide enterprises in continuously improving their environmental performance, foster a green consumption mechanism, enhance environmental quality, and promote the development of environmental protection. The Chinese Environmental Labeling Scheme was established in 1993 in response to the sustainable development concept proposed at the 1992 World Conference on Environment and Development, emerging within the broader context of the international ecological labeling movement. It has undergone a decade-long journey from non-existence to national certification and international standard certification. To date, the National Environmental Protection Administration has issued technical requirements for environmental labeling certification in 51 categories. Over 800 enterprises and 8,000 products have obtained Chinese Environmental Labeling certification, guiding green consumption in China, improving enterprises' environmental performance, and supporting China's environmental protection efforts. The technical requirements for environmental labeling product certification serve as the technical basis for the Chinese Environmental Labeling Scheme. Its development is a highly technical and pioneering undertaking that requires the participation of experts and scholars from various industries. I would like to extend my special thanks to the units and individuals involved in drafting these technical requirements, as well as the experts and scholars who participated in the formulation and review process. The issuance of these technical requirements reflects their wisdom and dedication. The Chinese Environmental Labeling Scheme needs continuous development, and improving the level of technical requirement formulation and the quality of environmental labeling product certification are key. Only in this way can the Chinese Environmental Labeling Scheme truly become a banner guiding the direction of China's green products, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding the export and market expansion of Chinese green products.
