Features:
1. This dictionary includes 8,100 polysemous modern Chinese words.
2. Ancient words, dialectal terms, and industry-specific jargon without general usage are generally not included. A small number of polysemous idioms and set phrases are selectively included.
3. If a word has multiple written forms, only the most commonly used one is selected.
4. Entries are arranged in alphabetical order by the first character's pronunciation. If the first characters are homophones, they are ordered by stroke count.
5. Each entry is annotated with Pinyin.
6. Meanings are listed separately, with the basic meaning first, followed by extended and metaphorical meanings. If an extended or metaphorical meaning has multiple senses, they are generally arranged based on the developmental logic of meaning.
7. Each meaning is labeled with its part of speech.
8. Each meaning is illustrated with examples, marked with an asterisk ().
9. Some polysemous words have homophones with identical phonetic forms and written forms, or homographs with different phonetic forms but identical written forms.
10. Some polysemous words in modern Chinese have differences in meaning compared to ancient Chinese. This dictionary includes a "For Reference" section to compare their original meanings and textual evidence.
11. A stroke index is provided at the end for easy lookup.
