However, among these writings, there are many insightful observations from predecessors that offer valuable insights for studying the evolution of brushwork. Brushwork is one of the important factors constituting the form of calligraphy. Everything related to artistic form is a historical product. Brushwork has evolved into its current form through long-term development. However, most studies on brushwork throughout history have ignored its historical context and often rely on the limited writing experience of individuals, leaving us with a lack of true understanding of brushwork. Although the legend of brushwork being divinely bestowed is no longer believed, it still lingers in an undispelled atmosphere of mysticism.
