The series was originally published by the China Renmin University Press and is now published by the Inner Mongolia University Press. For this revision, "Comprehensive Tutorial" has replaced the original "Comprehensive Module," and "Mock Test Collection" has replaced the original "Mock Test Module," while the other modules remain unchanged. The new edition is written in line with the spirit of the new syllabus and incorporates the latest information from this year's exam for revision and adjustment. We believe that the new edition of the "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for Candidates" will still be a valuable resource for candidates and training course participants.
This book is the "Grammar Module" of the "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for Candidates," which is based on the new exam syllabus. It covers all the grammar topics required by the new syllabus, including nouns, articles, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, modal verbs, tenses, voice, mood, non-finite verbs, simple sentences, compound sentences, and complex sentences. Grammar has always been considered a very tedious subject. In light of this, this book adopts a "speaking grammar" approach, placing tedious rules within vivid examples to make abstract grammar concrete. This way, English grammar becomes more understandable, easier to learn, and easier to master.
To help readers consolidate the grammar rules they have learned, the last section of each chapter includes exercises related to that chapter, accompanied by detailed solutions for reference. Another feature of this book is that the last chapter provides a thorough analysis of the grammar error-correction questions in the degree exam, along with effective answering techniques. At the end of the book, there are abundant comprehensive exercises, which are like a network woven from grammar rules. They can be said to provide a comprehensive summary and review of the grammar knowledge learned, as well as a comprehensive test of the reader's error-detection ability.
To help readers fully familiarize themselves with the grammar error-correction questions, all the exercises in this book are presented in the form of error-correction, making the review more targeted. Grammar is the foundation of English learning and the key to improving English exam scores. In terms of reading, grammar acts as a link, connecting individual words to give them meaning. Cloze tests test grammar as well as vocabulary based on grammar. Translation cannot be separated from grammar analysis. Without understanding grammar, writing is impossible. Through the grammar study in this book and the accompanying exercises, readers will not only deepen their understanding of grammar but also improve their exam-taking skills in various aspects, achieving a qualitative leap in their English learning.
