Features: In the selection of papers for this issue, we have focused on the following characteristics: First, we adhere to keeping pace with the times and highlight research on the theory of ethnic issues within the Important Thought of the Three Represents; Second, we stay abreast of the times and emphasize research on the opportunities and challenges faced by ethnic regions after joining the WTO, as well as the persistence and improvement of ethnic policies; Third, we grasp the themes of ethnic work in the new century and new stage, focusing on research to strengthen ethnic unity and promote the common development of all ethnic groups; Fourth, we broaden our perspective and strengthen thematic research on ethnic policies of countries in the context of global economic integration, as well as comparative studies on ethnic policies. Under the care and guidance of leaders of the State Nationalities Affairs Commission, with the strong support of ethnic work departments in various regions, ethnic research institutions, ethnic universities, and relevant units and experts, the "Ethnic Policy Research Series" has been published in two issues. The third issue of the "Ethnic Policy Research Series" is compiled and edited after carefully selecting submissions based on a large number of papers and research reports published in newspapers and magazines. The selection and compilation of the third issue of the "Ethnic Policy Research Series" were led by Director Mao Gongning and Deputy Director Liu Wanqing of the Legal and Political Department of the State Nationalities Affairs Commission. Comrade Hu Jingping of the Ethnic Policy Department was specifically responsible for the collection, review, preliminary selection, and editing of manuscripts. Comrade Mao Gongning and Liu Wanqing were responsible for the review and finalization of the manuscripts, and other colleagues in the Ethnic Policy Department also contributed significantly.
