Features: This is a highly creative new book in the field of management, not only integrating internationally advanced management concepts and tools but also pioneering the "KPI plus CPI" management philosophy based on a three-tiered structure. It holds considerable applicability and academic value. Writing a useful book is not easy, and being a useful person is even harder. The healthy growth of the management consulting industry requires more dedicated professionals like Consultant Ran Bin, and we hope he contributes even more to the industry.
Recently, I had a pleasant collaboration with Consultant Ran Bin in the field of human resources, and we deeply felt the importance of management consulting to enterprises. Consultant Ran Bin is willing to share his years of industry experience and research findings, which is a great news for businesses. We hope Consultant Ran Bin will write more books and better books.
Performance management has always been a broad concept, often appearing complex and mysterious. The methodology elaborated by Consultant Ran Bin is exceptionally clear and practical, making his ideas equally effective for both ordinary employees and senior managers. After reading this book, I couldn’t help but sigh in relief. To be honest, it’s been a long time since I’ve read such an enjoyable book.
This book has provided me with three major benefits:
1. Light-hearted and humorous fable stories, which helped me understand why performance management is essential in a business.
2. Rich and detailed consulting cases, which taught me how to implement performance management in a business.
3. In-depth yet accessible theoretical explanations, which finally clarified what performance management is.
The book consists of seven chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the basic concepts of performance management, and Chapter 7 provides a performance management manual. The remaining chapters each focus on an independent topic—the five core components of performance management.
While adhering to the traditional framework of performance management, the author proposes a new approach called the "Five-Step Performance Management Method." These five steps are: establishing a strategic map, goal decomposition, performance planning, performance evaluation, and the utilization of performance results. I have used these five steps as the titles for Chapters 2 to 6 of this book.
This book aims to introduce the entire process of the Five-Step Performance Management Method using simple and concise language and charts.
