Features: Based on clarifying physical concepts, this book strives to achieve clear concepts, logical organization, fluent writing, ease of understanding, and convenience for self-study. It balances the systematic nature of specialized monographs with a focus on the practicality and high readability of theory linked to actual applications. Professor Mao Zongyuan of South China University of Technology and Professor Qin Shoukang of Guangzhou Normal University reviewed and recommended the entire book, providing many valuable suggestions. We are deeply grateful for their contributions. During the process of selecting, writing, reviewing, evaluating, and publishing this book, Professor Xia Deqian of Light Industry Institute, Professor Zhou Qijie of South China University of Technology, the Electrical Automation Committee of the Chinese Automation Society, the Control Systems and Devices Committee of the Chinese Electrical Engineering Technology Society, as well as leaders, teachers, and graduate students of Guangdong University of Technology, provided extensive support and assistance. We extend our sincere thanks to all of them.
From an engineering application perspective, this book systematically introduces optimization theory, methods, design, and control, aiming to enable readers to correctly apply optimization techniques to solve specific engineering problems. The book is divided into 12 chapters. After presenting the fundamentals of optimization theory, it specifically elaborates on the ideas and algorithms of major optimization methods and selectively introduces optimization design and optimization control applications in fields such as electromechanical, civil, chemical engineering, and management. Systematic modeling, parameter selection, simulation, and real-time control results are provided. The book is accompanied by examples and exercises, emphasizing physical concepts and practicality.
The primary readers of this book are engineering technicians, but it can also serve as a reference for researchers, teachers and students of universities and colleges, graduate students, and postgraduate students.
