Publishing Date: 1998-04-01
Features: "Old Photos" not only provides readers with the lives and scenes of the past but also various perspectives. A single photo, a piece of past, may only narrate the experience of an individual or a family, seemingly insignificant, yet it inadvertently reflects the history of a nation, a country. A photo, a piece of past, "Old Photos" has been published for five years now. Compiling the previously published collections into four volumes of a treasured edition is also a way to preserve the historical photos of "Old Photos"! "Fleeting Shadows," "Old Stories Revisited," "Gazing Collection," "Old Times and Scenery," "Moments with Famous Figures," "Whispers of Secrets," "Private Albums," "Global Film Archives," "Journalist's Collection," "French Special Features," "Photo Examinations," "Revisited Studio," and "Event Documentation." Amidst the background music echoing memories, you can slowly savor every story, every photo, and every detail, the experiences we have lived or not lived, the stories we have heard or not heard, allowing these cloud-like memories to pierce through time and linger in our hearts and ears.
"Old Photos" has become wildly popular both domestically and internationally since its publication. By 1997, each issue sold 300,000 copies, making it one of the top ten bestsellers of the year. The series remains highly and in demand to this day. By the end of 1999, the publication of "Old Photos" was recognized by experts and media as one of the 50 major events in China's publishing industry over the past 50 years.
