Features: Acupuncture therapy, like other drug therapies, requires an understanding of its mechanisms, clinical syndrome differentiation, and adjustments based on changes. Only scientific prescription can achieve the best therapeutic effect. To facilitate rational point selection and prescription, understand the principles of point combination, and improve the clinical acupuncture skills and treatment outcomes of primary care physicians, the book "Clinical Acupuncture Prescriptions" was compiled.
This book consists of three parts: General Theory, Specific Therapies, and Appendices. The General Theory includes concepts of acupuncture prescription, principles of point selection for acupuncture prescriptions, and methods of point combination for acupuncture prescriptions. The Specific Therapies are organized by disease, focusing on the syndrome differentiation and prescription for each disease. Each prescription is introduced with its indications, manipulation techniques, modifications based on syndrome differentiation, and the rationale behind the prescription. To provide readers with a comprehensive overview of prescriptions, ancient and modern prescriptions have been selected. Finally, modern research is presented, discussing both clinical and mechanistic studies, reflecting the achievements of interdisciplinary research in modern physiology, biochemistry, biology, immunology, and related fields. The Appendices include literature research on the combined use of front and back meridian points for treating six Fu organ diseases and an introduction to the 14 meridian points, aiming to broaden the horizons of acupuncture practitioners and inspire treatment ideas.
This book is primarily intended for clinical practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine, students of TCM colleges, and professionals in acupuncture. It can also serve as a reference for acupuncture practitioners.
