I often couldn't help but pause my typing fingers and loudly read aloud passages from the book, thinking to myself—"Exactly! Let's face it—salespeople are the heroes of the workplace, the champions of the business world. Managers are smooth operators, strategizing and maneuvering, no matter the facts, at least they can create such an illusion: the finance and administrative departments maintain the basic operations of the entire company, and what they do is mostly to keep everything in order; the marketing department, on the other hand, bows its head in submission, enduring hardships—all of them deserve our respect. And what about salespeople? They are like those in "The Red Shoes," their performance can only get higher and better, clearly with no end in sight, and the laurel of honor is theirs alone.
