Zhou Xuehai of the Qing Dynasty wrote in (Random Notes on Reading Medicine): "A physician who excels in regulating the liver is skilled in treating all diseases." From a modern medical perspective, liver diseases have also become an important branch of internal medicine. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, clinical practice and scientific research in the prevention, treatment, and integrated management of liver diseases with TCM and integrated Chinese and Western medicine have achieved remarkable results. The efficacy of TCM in treating liver diseases has also been recognized by the academic community both domestically and internationally. This book introduces the diagnosis and treatment of common liver diseases from the perspective of TCM's understanding of the "liver," including the etiology, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, and treatment principles of common liver disease syndromes, as well as commonly used formulas. It not only inherits classical discussions but also compiles some experiences or insights from later generations in the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases. It can be said that this is a valuable academic work.
