Features: In China, higher vocational and technical colleges are a relatively new type of institution that has only been established in the past decade or so. Their educational objectives differ significantly from those of traditional higher education institutions. Due to the substantial increase in practical teaching hours, the total number of teaching hours remains unchanged, which necessitates a reduction in theoretical teaching hours. As a result, the number of hours allocated to "Advanced Mathematics" in engineering-focused colleges has been drastically reduced. This makes it difficult to achieve effective teaching simply by cutting chapters or relying on teachers' flexible handling of the existing curriculum. It is necessary to revise, delete, reorganize, and integrate the content of the current "Advanced Mathematics" course based on the training objectives and characteristics of higher vocational and technical colleges. This book was compiled under such circumstances. The book adheres to the principle that mathematical thinking takes precedence over mathematical methods, and mathematical methods take precedence over mathematical knowledge. Its core aim is to enhance students' ability to use mathematical thinking and methods to solve practical problems, while its goal is to maximize teaching content within limited time. The book covers topics such as limits, derivatives, indefinite integrals, definite integrals, multivariable calculus, differential equations, matrices, and determinants, along with exercises and mathematical tables.
