1. Conduct Research and Determine Objectives
Identifying problems is the starting point and foundation for writing a consulting report. The steps to identify problems are:
- First, determine the key points of the investigation;
- Second, collect relevant materials;
- Third, summarize the problems and judge their nature;
- Fourth, determine the consulting objectives.
2. Analyze and Find Causes
After identifying the problems, it is necessary to find their causes. The causes of problems can be external or internal. External causes include social factors and reasons related to the competent authorities, while internal causes include factors related to personnel quality, technology, management, ideological and political work, and historical reasons. Both external and internal causes have controllable and uncontrollable factors. When analyzing, identify the conditions and possibilities for converting uncontrollable factors into controllable ones to promote such transformations. Additionally, the analysis should reveal the various relationships between the problems to focus the main effort on studying inevitable and essential relationships, ensuring the correctness of the conclusions.
3. Propose Solutions and Draft the Report
Proposing improvement plans is a key step in writing a consulting report. A good improvement plan must be both nationally and contextually appropriate and must be the product of scientific spirit and creative thinking. To propose a good improvement plan, one must master the basic methods for solving problems, such as thinking methods, proposal methods, and decision-making methods. Special attention should be paid to the fact that improvement plans must undergo comprehensive analysis. This involves considering both immediate and long-term interests, as well as both subjective and objective factors, to ensure that the plan produces the best overall results.
4. Use Data and Charts to Explain Issues
When writing a consulting report on enterprise management, vague statements are rejected. Whether analyzing problems or proposing improvements, data and charts must be used to explain them. This approach not only facilitates accurate expression of the facts but also makes the information easier to understand and accept.
